Youth on Boards
Governance in Motion
Funded by the Government of Canada and the Government of Québec, this program provides youth (16-30) with Board of Directors training, skills and confidence in order to contribute to local and organisational change.
Youth on Boards provides participants with training for how to be on a board of directors and provides the skills necessary to be better members of committees and boards. The workshop explores the laws that govern boards of directors, non-profit organisational structures, and the roles and procedures of board meetings. Finally, participants will have the opportunity to be involved in a mock board meeting to practise these newfound skills.
This year, the trainings will take place in Montréal and Québec City, and will be offered for free to youth across Québec.
